Resurface is a private voice-notes app: speak a thought, and it is saved, transcribed, titled, and connected to related notes — entirely on your iPhone.

Is my data private? Yes — everything stays on your iPhone. No account, no cloud, no analytics. See the privacy policy. You can verify the app’s privacy statement in Settings → About.
Why do AI features seem off? Check Settings → Processing → AI status. It tells you honestly whether the on-device model is ready, still downloading, or needs Apple Intelligence turned on in iOS Settings.
The transcript looks different from what I said. Resurface shows a version cleaned for readability. Tap “view original” on the note to see the exact raw transcript. Editing the note always starts from the text you see.
A note says “Too long for AI features” or shows a language badge. Very long notes and notes not in English are saved and searchable as normal, but the AI features skip them — the badge is the app telling you that honestly rather than guessing.
An insight changed after I refreshed. Pull-to-refresh deliberately re-explores how notes group together. If you want an insight to stay exactly as it is, pin it — pinned insights never change on their own.
Ask said it couldn’t answer, but I think the answer is in my notes. Resurface only answers when it can ground the answer in your notes, and it declines rather than guesses. Try rephrasing with the words your note actually uses.
Where do reminders go? Into a “Resurface” list in your own Apple Reminders app, only when you ask for one.
How do I delete my data? Delete notes individually in the app, or delete the app itself — everything it stored goes with it. Nothing exists anywhere else.
